You said 96 quarts or 64 quarts for the Blendtec. 96 quarts would be 24 gallons. Big blender. We actually just purchased a Blendtec and are loving it! Can't wait to try new recipes. Cheers!

how does blendtec do with grains, nuts and seeds compared to vitamix? My sister has a vitamix and can make great dry flours out of stuff like sunflower seeds. Can the blendtec do it too?

We have a Vitamix and are happy with the final product. we've had it for a month now.The only thing is when I use the Tamper, the carafe sometimes moves, causing the gears to disalign, and thus making this terrible noise so we need to hold down the carafe with one hand while tampering with the other.I notice too that there is burr on the bottom of the carafe and sometimes tiny metal pieces on the base. Is this a common problem?
