@HarrowedMitch yeah the reason the crusade is so underrated is cause fans think for some reason metal is heavier when it has growls or screams?? idk there will always be haters my main argument with the other guy was that Crusade was Thrash(which it is) but i never said shogun was bad i just think its too overrated but i still like it like the rest of the albums. and fuck yeah this song is Sick my fav trivium song of all time:D

@GODEYE270115 Yeah, this album is incredibly underrated, but I wouldn't say Shogun doesn't deserve praise. That album is sick. But Crusade will probably always be the most underrated Trivium album because Asendncy fanboys wanted Ascendacy dos and those who hate Ascendacy wouldn't give Trivium a chance and the rest just said Trivium were Metallica wannabe's and didn't give the album a shot. Such a shame. And this song is sexy as fuck.

@ShreddinThrash Lol for a start you actually responded to a comment that clearly said "Think whatever you want"? the fact that you wont accept The crusade as thrash is your issue. your actually gonna say that a songs like Entrance of the conflagration, which doesn't even have breakdown that breaks half time or screams and clean vocals(metalcore) in the same song isnt thrash? this album is very underrated cause of people like you. why don't you go listen to the highly overrated shogun and STFU

@ShreddinThrash Yup thats the 'standard' for metal nowadays just like Metallica was back then. You should listen to In Waves, that and Shogun has defined them and set them apart from the rest.

@GODEYE270115 Lol! for a start. Imo, anyone that actually enjoys trivium's music will be biased like you. only the unblinded ones are willing to accept they arent thrash metal. I personally dont enjoy most modern metal apart from quite a few exceptions. I definately wouldnt compare this to old thrash. Like comparing communism to socialism. IMO the vocals are annoying and melodies uninteristing on this album.

@Direksone well i suppose it is original, but in the end most metal bands do the same 'style' that trivium do these days. Ofc not all of them sound the same obviously because each band is differenet. Trivium were probably at the forefront of 'modern thrash'/'metalcore' and that seems to be the evolution of metal. Original? as in.. a shouty/screaming vocalist, 2 distorted dropped guitars, a bass and drums? Technicaly, not original. This is where metal just ended up.

@ShreddinThrash Very true, I hate that as well. "Trivium wants to be like Metallica" not true. Look at what they are at now with In Waves, top notch and very original. Though this album is thrashy, but indeed not like the old school stuff. More 'modern thrash metal' but indeed a little more streamlined, a little more easy on the ear. Does it make it unoriginal? Not in my opinion.
