Couldnt agree more man.Shearer had black and white running through him thats why im surprised he said he felt prouder playing for England than he did for newcastle. Gerrard, lampard etc would never say that. Ive been going to st james park for over 25 yrs and i know a lot of people follow the rugby now. Go in to any bar on the strip & most people will be talking about falcons. Pisse me off at first but judging by the ammount of falcon tops you see around town its here!!

I think I've seen this at least 10 times and probably commented 3 times. This is my all-time favourite player. Such sportsmanship and loyalty to the club he loved. God, what has football turned into?

@macjakedom Shearer almost never played as an "out-&-out" striker: he usually lined up as an "English-mould" No.9/"target" striker for both club(s) and country IMHO.

@macjakedom yea henry did bu rooney does not hes only ever played 1 season in shearers role which was 09/10 all his others at utd have been playing behinde another striker |
