@TheGlowingKnight FADC's regardless are harder to do constantly than most things in this game. Along w/ the fact that adding huge combos in the beginning are considered Soul Crushers which are used alot in advanced play.

@TheGlowingKnight I've seen a lot of FADCs into Ultra on Twitch tv tournies. I've also seen a few FADC that fails to go into Ultra (good bye two or even three bars). High risk-High payoff, depending what type of player you are.

I actually learned all this from watching Daigo matches on youtube and from local tournies posted on twitch tv. Ryu's Ultra Uppercut won't do its full damage on launched enemies even if the initial hit connects, making his 2nd ultra only viable through cancel on an unlaunched opponent, and on 'bait and counter'. This also makes Metsu Hadoken his best Ultra simply because it can be used as a zoning tool to counter projectiles and connects all hits on launched opponents.

@MrChickenbutt54 Perhaps. I personally believe some FADC's are advanced and some aren't. For example, a basic FADC into ultra from a SRK is very basic and easy to do. With a weeks practice, most people would be able to do it consistently. But then again, in tournament level play, "advanced combos" and FADC's don't necessarily even exist because they are too difficult to pull off - with the exception of 1 frame links which are easier if you plink them.

@TheGlowingKnight FADC's are advanced and are usually are a part of most advanced combos. And FADC's are more advanced than double tapping.

@DnbDubJunkie Daigo one of the best SF players of all time uses Ultras constantly . There is no better way to finish a game with a Shoryuken-FADC-Mestu Hadoken. And it is great for countering anyone who throws one out by mistake or just a Random Ultra scrub.
TheGlowingKnight (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
This is still basic. Bare basic infact.Advanced tactics cover P-linking, pianoing, double tapping, option selects, priority dominance, meaty attacks, frame data, hitboxes, zoning, footsies, baiting, mix-up's, air resets, advanded combos etc
